Kirby graduated from New Bern High School in 1983 and entered the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill at the age of 17. Kirby graduated with a degree in Business Administration at the age of 21 and took a job at Wheat First Securities, where he promptly earned his license as a Stock Broker. Unfortunately, the stock market crash in 1987 forced Kirby to reconsider his career path.

Marc has returned to New Bern after attending the University of Maryland for undergrad and The University at Buffalo for law school. Marc joins The Carolina Law Group after spending time at Stubbs & Perdue, P.A. and is the last associate to be mentored by the late Trawick “Buzzy” Stubbs. In addition to his work as Town Attorney for the Town of Emerald Isle, Marc represents clients in civil and criminal court in Jones, Pamlico, Craven, and Carteret.
Mr. Potter graduated from Duke University in 1988. He then attended Mercer University School of Law, graduating in 1992. Mr. Potter has practiced family law for decades, fighting for the rights of his clients both in and out of the courtroom with unparallel results.

Mr. Kellis focuses his practice on litigation. No matter too small, no matter too big. Mr. Kellis litigates criminal matters, injury claims, worker’s compensation, parole violation hearings and employment/ unemployment claims. He is certified with the NFLPA as an NFL agent. His NFL transactional work includes contract negotiation, worker’s compensation, and endorsement compensation.
