Russ E. Boltz
Mr. Boltz – or “Rusty”, as friends and clients enjoy calling him – is a veteran litigator in federal, state and international forums, admitted as an attorney in Michigan, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and several U.S. District Courts. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Notre Dame Journal of Legislation, he is a successful trial and appellate lawyer in fields as diverse as civil rights, business owners’ protection, elder abuse protection, environmental protection and employment discrimination. Rusty is proud to have been lead counsel in over 40 published decisions of state and federal trial and appellate courts, with a 90% success rate.
In his spare time, Rusty enjoys backpacking the Appalachian Trail, restoring his vintage 1976 Pequod cruiser, serving on the Vestry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Oriental, and, most of all, spending time with his wife, Sharon, and their children and grandchildren.
